Strange, at the bottom of this page it says:

This site was developed on Linux, programmed in PHP, and served by HTTPguru

Please... PLEASE do some adequate research before posting this crap that you have obviously made up. I would love to see your sources for this information :)

There is only one thing you said that is true, and I can agree with; the default fonts on most linux distributions are ugly. I often find myself copying over the default TTF's from Microsoft Windows.

Fabio Calderon made a pretty good accurate reply.

Pretty odd... I have been using Linux for my desktop PC and my laptop for a while and...

I have video acceleration working perfectly...
I have "smooth" fonts...
I have flash players (Macromedia/Adobe and an open source alternative)...
I have 3D video, as a matter of fact I run a 3D desktop...
I don't care about games as I just don't have time to spare playing...
I have compiled most applications without any issues or distribution problems...
I didn't have to pay a single cent to download all the software I use...
My computer boots up and loads everything in less than 30 seconds, while XP took nearly a minute and Vista took nearly 2 minutes (including drivers, start-up services, desktop, etc.)

I'm not a huge linux-loving-windows-hating person, but I will never regret the day that I kissed Windows good-bye.

I used to have a virtual machine running windows to use some apps (like Photoshop, Corel Draw and to access some website using IE), however now I've mastered GIMP and I can do the same things I used to do with Photoshop, I switched to INKscape and stopped using Corel Draw, and I used WINE (A windows emulator) to install Internet Explorer so that I can access those sites that will only let you in if you use IE (banking websites).

My best advice would be that you need to broaden your research before claiming that Linux isn't getting a nice share of the desktop users as I've personally helped over 200 people install and set up linux in their desktop PCs.
